Requirements for C/ST3 ARCP
Requirements are split into paeds and adults
PAEDS
Summative mini-CEX or CBD in 3 of: Anaphylaxis, Apnoea, stridor and airway obstruction, Cardiorespiratory arrest, Major trauma, Shock, Unconsciousness OR Completion of APLS AND Summative mini-CEX or CBD in: Abdominal pain, Breathlessness, Fever, Child in pain AND Formative assessment (ACAT EM, mini-CEX or CBD) in: Concerning presentations , Limb pain, Sore throat, Poisoning, Rash AND Coverage of the remaining acute presentations by other means including self-directed learning and reflection AND DOPS in: Venous access, Airway assessment and maintenance, Safe sedation, Equipment and guidelines in the resuscitation room, Primary survey AND 30 e-learning modules |
ADULTS
Summative mini-CEX or CBD in: Major trauma - chest injury, Major trauma - Abdominal injury, Major trauma - Spinal injury, Major trauma - Maxillofacial injury, Major trauma - burns AND Formative assessment (ACAT EM, mini-CEX or CBD) in: Traumatic limb pain, Blood gas interpretation, Patient with abnormal blood glucose AND A sample of the remaining acute presentations by other means including self-directed learning and reflection |
In addition at least one MSF & completion of one piece of academic work (audit, research, guideline, publication & successful completion of MCEM & successful completion of ALS, ATLS & APLS
